Does this shoe run true to size?

Birkenstock's fit guide covers width: a solid footprint printed on the footbed means narrow, and an outlined footprint means regular. New pairs can feel roomy, since the design lets your toes spread. Try it on at our Kissimmee store. Walk in anytime.

Is it waterproof?

No. Water can damage the cork and dissolve the glue and sealant, so don't soak it. Birkenstock describes the upper as water-resistant, which is not the same as waterproof. If it gets wet, dry it slowly away from direct heat, never in front of a heater.

How do I clean it?

Birkenstock says to condition smooth leather regularly with its Leather Conditioner and an applicator brush, then buff with a polishing brush. That nourishes the leather, keeps it supple and helps remove scuffs. Don't soak it or machine wash it.

How do I keep it from smelling?

Air the footbeds regularly. Birkenstock says that prevents odors from building up with moisture.

What is it made of?

The upper is water-resistant smooth leather. The insole is microfibre. The footbed is cork. The outsole is rubber.

How does it fasten?

Lace-up.

Can it be repaired when the sole wears?

Birkenstock says soles should be repaired or replaced before wear reaches the cork. Ask us in store about repair options.

Stiff at first, but true to its description the super stick soles have been the best non slip work shoes I’ve had so far, the stiffness will go away with wear so I’m fairly happy with this product and its description.
