Is it waterproof?

No. Don't soak it. If it gets wet, dry it slowly away from direct heat, never in front of a heater.

How do I clean it?

Birkenstock says to clean Birko-Flor and similar synthetic uppers (including Birkibuc) with its Footbed and Shoe Cleaner and a sponge. Don't machine wash.

How do I keep it from smelling?

Air it out after wear and let it dry fully before storing.

The upper is Birko-Flor Futura. The footbed is Polyurethane (PU). The outsole is PU/TPU.
