Does this shoe run true to size?

Birkenstock's fit guide covers width: a solid footprint printed on the footbed means narrow, and an outlined footprint means regular. New pairs can feel roomy, since the design lets your toes spread. Try it on at our Kissimmee store. Walk in anytime.

Is it waterproof?

No. Don't soak it. Birkenstock describes the upper as water-resistant, which is not the same as waterproof. If it gets wet, dry it slowly away from direct heat, never in front of a heater. Rinse the buckles after salt water.

How do I clean it?

Birkenstock says to clean Birko-Flor and similar synthetic uppers (including Birkibuc) with its Footbed and Shoe Cleaner and a sponge. Don't machine wash.

How do I keep it from smelling?

Air it out after wear and let it dry fully before storing.
