Frequently asked questions

Does this sandal run true to size?

Teva doesn't publish a true-to-size rating. Teva offers a free True Fit tool and a Size Guide. This style comes in whole sizes, and the hook-and-loop straps adjust the fit. The easiest way to be sure is to try it on at our Kissimmee store. Walk in anytime.

Is it waterproof?

No. Teva doesn't call it waterproof. The straps are quick-dry recycled webbing, so it's fine around water and dries fast.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap and a soft brush, and bend the sandal to loosen dirt in the grooves. Don't machine wash. Air dry in the shade, away from heaters and long direct sun.

How do I keep it from smelling?

The sandal is treated with a peppermint-based anti-odor finish. Rinse after salt water, pools, mud or heavy sweat, and dry fully before storing. For lingering odor, Teva suggests sprinkling baking soda on the footbed for 8-24 hours.

What is it made of? Is it vegan?

The straps are 100% recycled plastic (REPREVE webbing). The midsole is lightweight EVA foam, the outsole is Spider Rubber, and there is a nylon shank for stability. All materials are vegan.

How do the straps adjust?

There are hook-and-loop closures with injection-molded strap ends for quick on and off. The heel strap is padded.

Is it good for hiking?

Teva lists it as best for day hikes and everyday wear. The nylon shank stabilizes your foot on uneven ground. Teva doesn't state arch support for this model, so ask us in store if you need more arch.
